Solution for Chromebooks Unable to Print via Flashlabel Plugin

Your printer must be in ChromeOS mode to work with your Chromebook. Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Check printer mode:

Print the self-test page:

1. Ensure the printer is powered on and label paper is loaded (matching the correct paper type).

2. Press and hold the Feeder button for about 5 seconds until you hear two beeps, then release it immediately.

Locate “U-Disk Mode” on the printed test page:

“OFF” = Correct mode (Enable ChromeOS mode).

“ON” = Error mode → Proceed to step two.

Step 2: Switch to ChromeOS mode

(Required if U-Disk mode is “ON”)

1. Ensure the printer is:

Powered on

Loaded with the correct label paper

Press and hold the function key (top button) for approximately 9 seconds.

Release immediately after hearing three beeps.

Step 3: Configure the Flashlabel plugin

1. Install/reinstall the Flashlabel plugin

2. Key points:

If you previously added a printer in a non-ChromeOS mode, remove it and then add it again after switching modes.

Do not close the interface shown in the screenshot below (the interface after clicking Add) — closing it will cause printing to fail.
